Most of Fineware Products
are programmed using Microsoft's Visual Basic.
Application's written in this programming language
require the presence of a small group of files (runtime
modules) on the user's machine. In order to reduce
your download time, Fineware offers it's products with a
choice of download options.
Option #1:
All
Inclusive Installation Set. It contains the
most recent version of the required runtime modules.
Option #2:
Application Only. This saves approximately 1
megabyte over the All Inclusive Set. If you know
that your set is up to date, then this is the version
you download.
Option #3:
Sub-divided Application Only Installation Set. This
is only offered on products where the installation is
large (over 2 megabytes). It is useful if you has
a slow internet connection or if general internet
conditions are poor.
INSTRUCTIONS:
(1) Select the
Download Page of the product desired using the buttons
on the left.
(2) You are asked to
complete a short questionnaire before downloading the
program. This is entirely optional.
Fineware
uses the information to
learn about how the public learns of our products and to
gauge download activity.
(3) If you are not
sure if your runtime modules (see above) are up to date,
Fineware offers a small test program which will examine
your system and see if your version is up to date.
Click here (90k) to download the Test program.
If your files are not up to date, then
click here (1.1 megabyte) to download the latest
version of VBRUN60.EXE.
(4) Press the Download
Program Button and you will see a page listing your
download options as described above. Select the
option desired by clicking on the download program's
link.
(5) Before the
download begins, you will be given a choice of opening
the file from it's current location or saving it to
disk. You want to select the "Save to Disk"
option.

location to save the downloaded installation set.
This makes it easy to find and once the installation
itself has completed then you can delete the downloaded
files.

to select where you want the application to be placed.
The default is under the Program Files directory

Help file as well as to the Uninstall procedure.
