Links (Also known as Shortcuts) allow the user to create customized Start Menus and Desktop Folders. Once in place, a shortcut will point to it's target application and can be used to pass runtime instructions via a command line prompt. Shortcuts can be moved around easily within your Windows environment. Please refer to Windows Help for additional information on Shortcuts.
Occasionally, a shortcut looses it's ability to launch an application. This frequently happens when an application is deleted but the shortcut is left and at that point it is simply wasting space on your hard drive and adding clutter to your desktop and Start Menu.
The Links Display allows you to investigate all of your shortcuts quickly and assists you in trying to resolve broken links.
Additional file information is always just a right mouse click away. Here we have opted to display the file information about this shortcut link by clicking once on the right mouse button.
