 Tutorial - Duplicate Files

Step 1: Load the program

Step 2: Select Find Duplicate Files from the menu

Step 3: Select the type of Duplicate File Search desired 

Step 4: Select other search parameters such as file size

 

Step 5: Select the type of Duplicate File Search desired

  • Searched on Exact Duplicates (Notes)

  • Selected Folders  Documents and Settings on Drive C: (Notes)

  • Also selected is the option to exclude program files from search. (Notes)

Step 6: The Search was started.

All Processes involving a search are begun using this button from the Search Selection Criteria Form

 

Results Display showing Duplicate Groupings.  There are two grids. The left side shows each file name found to have more than one instance of an identical file. Using the Exact Duplicates Option guarantees that each set of duplicates contains files that are 100% identical on name and content.
Results showing the right side which provides various file information items about each of the files found within the group. Information such as File Size, Folder location, dates, file attributes, etc.

Using the Results Display you can individually investigate each Duplicate File Set using the numerous build-in tools and file viewers. You can delete specific files or you can use  one of the NEW Duplicate Tool methods to speed up the process like never before.
