 Tutorial - Designing a Search - Note, a search is the preliminary step for many of Space Hound 4's primary displays.

Step 1: Load the program

Step 2: Select Find File Finder to search for files.

Step 3: Select the folders and/or sub-folders to include.

Step 4: Select specific file extensions to include or exclude from the search.  There is a large list of pre-defined groups such as Pictures and Program Files

Step 5: You can select the option to search inside zip files and compressed folders. However, please note that this adds significant time to the process.

Step 6: Limit the search to files of a desired size or size range

Step 7: Limit the search to files of a desired based on any one of the available date options

Step 8: Limit the search to files which include specific file attributes

Step 10: Use the embedded text tool for searching for words or phrases within your documents

Step 11: Start the Search! Note: You can Save your Search Criteria and reload it at anytime.  Also, new this release.  Saved Search Criteria for a Find Files Search can also be used for any of the other types of searches such as Duplicate Files.  You can also use a Saved Search via a desktop Shortcut that will launch Space Hound and take you strait to your search results display.
